EU Omnibus Directive on Consumer Protection

Directive (EU) 2019/2161 aims to modernize and strengthen consumer protection rules in the EU, particularly for digital markets. It introduces stricter penalties for violations, enhances transparency requirements for online marketplaces, and extends consumer rights to digital services. The directive amends four existing EU consumer protection laws to adapt them to technological developments.
